| The Black Friday Edit

All at once the weather turns to ice, John Lewis role out the yearly heartwarming advert and Terry’s chocolate orange is taking over the front window display in the supermarket. Christmas is finally here and with a month to go, I need to get on with my pressie shopping quick time- if only a few purchases for myself thrown in there.

For some reason, we have adopted an American past time where people storm their local Asda for 10p off a turkey, but on my site, we take Black Friday seriously! Here are all the best retail, beauty and skincare discounts from everywhere I’ll be shopping to save you having to research. Get ready to drain your accounts because…

ZARA: Up to 40% off selected items

It is no secret that Zara is my go-to when it comes to high street shopping. Trendy, well-fitting and well priced, Zara is new to Black Friday only starting last year. Notorious for only having two serious sales a year, expect them to have sale restrictions on most items except outwear and footwear. Here’s what I’ll be looking for.

TOPSHOP: 25% off everything

I don’t know why but lately Topshop has lost its spark. I used to save my lunch money and raid the sale rails every Friday with my friends, but lately, their sizing has changed and their style has lost it’s ‘edge’. For me, their one saving grace is the Jamie jeans, a high-waisted skinny jean that makes your butt look A1 without being to stretch and loose. Over Black Friday, I’ve decided to give them the benefit of the doubt and expanded my lust list to footwear, partywear and their makeup range.

ASOS: 20% off ASOS Design

ASOS is going to take over the world- you heard it here first! I have a parcel arriving every other day with some frivolous purchase or another. Makeup, skincare, party dresses, work clothes EVEN DAMN WIGS, they sell everything. This Black Friday, I’m going to order a ton of stocking fillers and work secret Santa gifts and all my boujee party looks.

REVOLUTION: 50% off eyeshadow palettes

I love expensive boujee makeup don’t get me wrong, (I’m working on a Becca Cosmetics post as we speak) but when something works it works and Revolution is the best example of this. I have tried their skincare and makeup and they both work great and look cute as anything on my makeup station. Their eyeshadows are also really great quality with a strong colour payoff and last ages. Currently, their eyeshadow palettes are at 50% off but they keep rolling out new deals every day (yesterday it was 3 for 2 on everything). Additionally, they are giving away a gorgeous free palette with every £20 spent- absolute bargain!

CULT BEAUTY: Up to 40% off selected items

Talking of boujee makeup, I’ll definitely be heading to Cult Beauty to pick up a few Christmas gifts for my girls. They have everything from super affordable skincare from The Ordinary, trends, perfumes and wellbeing products for the whole family. I’m going to buy all the skincare products I can’t financially justify any other time but will definitely help with the terrible skin I’m going to have after attending 73573928 Christmas parties.

GLOSSYBOX: 10 products for £10.00

When I was a student I loved a bargain- if it had a deal on I’d probably buy it even if I didn’t even care that much for it. Fast-forward a dissertation and an Ian Beale style “I’ve got nothing left” sob or two (google the meme honestly), I like to think I’m a lot smarter with money. That’s where Glossybox comes in. A monthly subscription service that sends you random hair, skin and makeup beauty products for a tenner, mostly all great brands and one product is always full-sized- I spend more than that on lunch! Currently for Black Friday, Glossybox is doing an amazinggg deal for new and existing customers where you get two boxes for £5, that’s insane! Personally, I have received products from Benefit, Sleek and Percy and Reed, and even fell in love with q primer I was sent that retailed at £85.00 (for the full-size anyway). I really think this is a great option if you’re in the market to try new products and the boxes are usually themed, so I feel there’ll be lots of cute Christmas-appropriate makeup in-store.

I can’t wait to get spendy on Friday and accidentally (on purpose) buy lots of bits I really don’t need. Next week i’ll do a rundown over on my Instagram of what I brought and why and additionally, I’ll be doing a styling piece.
