Outfit | What is the boot equivalent of a ‘sneakerhead’?!

Waking up to my all-too-familiar (and early) alarm clock screaming at me to get up for work, I realised I’m still wearing last nights outfit. It seems I fell asleep fully dressed (and made up) somewhere between brushing my teeth and getting cosy under the duvet. This doesn’t happen all the time- I can’t hack going out on a work night like I used to, but I wake up like this more often than I care to admit.

As bleak as this snapshot into my mid-twenties is, it does serve a point. The only thing I managed to successfully get off and place neatly is a pair of grey suede platform ankle boots- something I loved so much I scoured eBay (and Depop and every high street Topshop I could get into) to rebuy them after I LITERALLY wore a hole in them! These trusty boots, I wore to work, danced all night in, stumbled home then popped them straight back on for work like it was nothing.

It got me thinking about how much I rely on boots, platform heels, Docs, (also with a platform because I’m all of five foot tall) thigh-highs, cowboy boots, cutout boots- you name it, and as their an un-sung hero, I wanted to sing their praises!

I wish there was a word for the infatuation of footwear, with boots in particular but I guess that I’ll just have to gush over them via my blog. Below I have linked my favourite boots for this season- to fit every style. If anyone’s interested I may start a ‘How to guide’ for styling different types of boots for different occasions.
